Shelley and Anthony exchanged ‘I do’s in Sorrento on a mid-May afternoon.

Shelley, accompanied by her bridesmaids, prepared for her wedding day at the Hotel Antiche Mura in the centre of the pretty seaside town. Meanwhile, Anthony and his best man enjoyed a pre-wedding pint, on the scenic Marinella square in nearby Sant’Agnello.

Shelley and Anthony celebrated their civil wedding ceremony in the San Francesco Cloisters. The ceremony included a reading by Anthony’s son Nathan, and the exchange of beautiful wedding rings. The rings were personally designed and made by Anthony’s best man Dan.

After the ceremony, the newly-weds spent a little time wandering through the streets of Sorrento. They stopped in a local leather-making and wood-carving shop. For good luck, according to Italian tradition, they cut a tiny hole in Shelley’s veil. This was done using a pair of very old – and precious – scissors, which belonged to the shop owner.

Afterward, Shelley and Anthony joined their guests at their wedding reception venue, the Villa Antiche Mura. While wedding guests sampled delicious aperitifs on one of the villa’s terrace, they admiring the breathtaking coastal panorama.

Later, the couple took advantage of the villa’s balconies, gardens and private walkway down to the sea, to capture beautiful photographs as the sun began to set.

Shelley, Anthony and guests sat down to a gala wedding dinner, served on the villa’s dining terrace. Following this, Shelley and Anthony cut their elegant, tiered, wedding cake. Then the couple performed their first dance before  before their guests took to the dance floor as the after-party began!
